South Coast Collections provides commercial debt recovery for UK businesses and Commercial Field Services across Southampton, Hampshire and the South Coast. We assess every instruction before accepting it.

We work on overdue business-to-business invoices. We do not collect consumer debts. Each matter is assessed before it is accepted.

We review the account and supporting information, agree the scope with you and begin professional contact with the debtor. This may include telephone calls, emails and, where appropriate, a face-to-face visit. Any payment arrangement requires your authority.

Yes, where a visit is appropriate, lawful and safe. A visit may form part of a commercial debt recovery instruction or be arranged separately through our Field Services.

We will assess the nature of the dispute. A straightforward query may be resolved during contact, but a substantial contractual or factual dispute may require legal advice and may not be suitable for ordinary recovery activity.

Not without separate written authority. Court fees, solicitor fees and other external costs are not included in the standard fees and must be approved separately.

We can begin once the instruction has been assessed and accepted, the required information and documents have been received and the applicable engagement fee has been paid. We will confirm the next steps when we accept the matter.

Usually the invoice, agreed terms, contract or purchase order, proof of delivery or completion, a statement of account and relevant correspondence. We may request further information after the initial review.

Tell us promptly. The success fee applies to money recovered in relation to the instruction whether it is paid to SCC, directly to you or through an agreed arrangement.

Payment will normally be made directly to you unless another arrangement is agreed in writing.

It varies according to the debtor, evidence, dispute and ability to pay. We cannot guarantee recovery or a particular timescale.

Accrued fees remain payable. For three months after termination, the success fee remains payable on money recovered where SCC’s work materially contributed to that recovery.

Commercial Field Services involve attending a business or other instructed address on behalf of a client. This can include debtor visits, trading status checks, address and occupancy verification, document delivery, statutory demand service and other agreed field assignments.

We accept instructions from businesses, solicitors, debt recovery agencies, finance providers, credit control providers and other professional organisations.

Yes. We can attend a debtor’s business premises as a standalone field instruction or as part of our wider commercial debt recovery service.

Yes. We can attend the address and report on what is observed, including signs of trading or occupation. Our report records the factual findings from the visit rather than providing a legal determination of the company’s status.

Yes. We can attend an instructed address to establish what can reasonably be observed regarding occupancy, business activity and whether the person or company appears to be connected with the address.

Yes. Solicitors and legal professionals can instruct South Coast Collections for statutory demand service, debtor visits, trading status checks, address and occupancy verification, document delivery and other agreed field assignments.

Following attendance, we can provide a written report detailing the outcome of the visit and relevant factual observations made during the attendance. Where photographic reporting forms part of the instruction, this should be agreed before attendance.

Yes. South Coast Collections can accept instructions to physically serve statutory demands on behalf of solicitors, creditors and other professional clients. Documents must be supplied ready for service together with clear instructions. South Coast Collections provides physical service of the documents and does not provide legal advice on whether a statutory demand should be issued.

South Coast Collections accepts selected document service and process serving instructions as part of our Field Services, including statutory demand service. Send us the document type, service address and required timescale and we will confirm whether we can accept the instruction.

We provide a written record of the attendance and the outcome of the service or attempted service, together with relevant factual evidence required for the instruction. Any specific evidential or documentation requirements should be agreed when instructing us.

South Coast Collections provides the physical service of statutory demands supplied ready for service. We do not provide legal advice on whether a statutory demand should be issued. If advice or preparation of legal documents is required, clients should obtain appropriate legal advice.

Urgent and priority instructions may be available depending on the location and our availability. Contact us with the service address, documents and required timescale and we will confirm whether we can assist and provide a quote.

The standard engagement fee is £195 and includes the initial review, case setup, commencement of recovery activity and one face-to-face visit to the debtor’s verified business premises within our agreed South Coast service area, where a visit is appropriate, lawful and safe. It is non-refundable once the instruction is accepted and work begins. The standard success fee is 15% of money recovered, with the engagement fee credited against it. Additional visits or travel outside the agreed area require written approval.

A standard field visit is £95 + mileage. If an instruction has additional requirements, we will confirm the cost before accepting it. The standard price does not include unlimited visits or attempts.

Statutory Demand Service starts from £145 + mileage. The final cost depends on the location, timescale and requirements of the instruction. Urgent or priority service may also be available subject to location and availability. Additional or unusual requirements may be quoted separately.

South Coast Collections is based in Southampton and provides field services across Hampshire and the wider South Coast, including Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester, Fareham, Portsmouth, the New Forest, Chichester, Bournemouth and Salisbury. Other locations may be considered on request.
